Telecontrol systems
SisCom is suitable for communication (via various media) and line monitoring in ropeway systems. Communication between different participants can be established and maintained via different media.
Competence
SisCom is a product range developed entirely by Sisag. Since our engineers and developers are always working on improving this product range further, we can support them very well and you will be kept up-to-date with the latest technology. Thanks to the modular design, our technicians can find the optimum equipment combination for each system.
Availability
SisCom is a central and important element for communication between the various participants and for the reliable function of the system. Thanks to our many years of experience in the use of these products, we have succeeded in developing an optimum availability and reliability of these components. SisCom was developed for the harsh and difficult environmental conditions in the Swiss Alps and has been used there for years with success.
Security
Because these systems transport many people, a high level of process reliability is indispensable. SisCom enables the establishment of a secure data transmission between the various participants and its maintenance. This communication channel is both compliant with the various specifications and standards relevant for ropeways and certified.
All features from SisCom at a glance
SISCOM SX-P
In the case of shuttle trains, the signals are transmitted in a contactless, inductive manner via the hauling cable. The hauling cable loop passes through the toroidal cores in the stations and the coupling cores on the cabins.
SisCom is very compact and therefore ideally suited for installations in cabins or vehicles. SisCom is also very suitable for use in small cabins because of the low power consumption.
SisCom is a telecontrol system that is used primarily in ropeway systems. With the correct configuration, communication between different participants (for example, drive station and remote station or cabin) can be established via different media. Safety signals, control signals and voice signals can then be transmitted via this communication channel.
SISCOM SX-U
SisCom SX-U has a galvanic connection and is therefore ideally suited for railway systems where two copper cores or two steel cables connect the participants. The system is also often used in winch tracks where copper cores in the hauling cable can be used to communicate. In the drive station, the connection to the hauling cable is ensured by means of slip rings.

SISCOM SX-S
SisCom SX-S is ideally suited for the realisation of communication with funicular railways which travel along a fixed route. By means of two antennas each, the vehicles communicate contactlessly with the drive station via the line conductor firmly mounted on the track.

Capacitive cable monitoring
Capacitive cable monitoring is a special part of the remote monitoring system for ropeways (shuttle trains, funicular railways). It monitors the hauling cable for ground connection and for touching other ropes, perhaps guided over the route, and thus corresponds to a “route safety circuit”.
The system can be integrated into a control system in a modular manner. With simple interfaces, the capacitive cable monitoring system can be optimally integrated into an external system. Usually, the transmitter unit is installed in the remote station and the receiver unit is installed in the drive station.
The connection to the insulated hauling cable is effected capacitively (without contact) by means of a cable capacitor. Depending on the route length, the cable capacitors can be used in different lengths.
SisLoc (column locator)
The column locator SisLoc is a device that can localise the interruption on a line. It is used for the analysis of the switch line. When the line monitor detects a problem, the faulty support can be determined quickly. In the event of a break in the switch line (breakage of a break bar), the remote support measurement enables the faulty break bar to be located in the serial cabling.
The system can be integrated into a control system in a modular manner. With simple interfaces, the column locator can be optimally integrated into an external system. A separate PLC with a visual panel is used for integration and monitoring in an external control.
In order for the location of a faulty break bar to indicate the support as accurately as possible, the support locator on the line must be calibrated. For this purpose, the switch line is interrupted on each support and the locator makes a measurement which is saved in the system. With the SisLoc system, the various supports can be calibrated individually and in any order.
Line monitoring
The line monitoring system detects interruptions and ground connections or connections between two lines and can indicate this with a high degree of accuracy. The galvanic line monitoring requires that the overhead lines be mounted in an electrically insulated manner and have a minimum insulation resistance.
In addition to direct current, AC signals can also be transmitted via the monitored lines. The additional signals do not influence the disconnection capability of the line monitoring. Simple standard signals can be transmitted via carrier wave system technology. Wind measurement systems or line loudspeakers can also be integrated via line monitoring.
